13-year-old 8th grade piano prodigy student Jenny Luo from Austin,
Texas will perform in the Stanley Concert Hall with an appearance by
prodigy guest artist Nancy Sang.
Jenny Luo has studied with Julia Amada Kruger for the past 4 ½
years. During this time Jenny has competed across the United States
and Europe winning many National/International First Place awards.
Too numerous to list, among the most prestigious are: 5 First Place
Wins, 8 Second Place Wins, 2 Third Place Wins and 4 Fourth Place
Wins. Jenny has also been named a multiple “International First
Place Winner” (CO) in the United States International Duo
Competition from 2005 to 2010. In May 2006, Ms. Luo was named a
“First Place International Winner” in the Buono/Bradshaw
International Piano Competition in New York City and performed in
Carnegie Hall. Jenny was also awarded a “Gold Medal Scholarship” at
the United States Open Music Competition with her duet partner,
Helen Nebeker, whom many may remember as performing with the Music
Festival at the Stanley Hotel in 2008.
In the summer of 2009, Jenny was accepted to study and perform at
the new International Performance Festival in Italy, “Resonant
Thoughts”. She studied with Professor Victor Bunin from Moscow and
Julia Amada Kruger where she performed over 13 concerts for the
cities of Cepina and Bormio, Italy. Lanty McCartney said that “
having been privileged to hear Jenny play the piano, over the course
of two weeks, last summer in Bormio, Italy, I am pleased and proud
to be sponsoring her concert at the Stanley Hotel. I would greatly
recommend those of you who can attend to come and be amazed by this
young performer who at such a young age has achieved so much in the
world of music. She is not only a delight as an artist but a
wonderful young lady who will enrich the world we live in by her
presence”.
Experience the extraordinary talent of 13 year old prodigy Jenny Luo
as she performs a program of Bach, Paderewski and Liszt among
others, and cheer on Jenny and Nancy as they move the crowd with
Gershwin’s I’ve Got Rhythm”! This is one concert you won’t want to
miss!
The March 14 concert features Barbara Barber’s Student Recital. The
Bonnie Lowdermilk concert that was canceled due to weather concerns
will be rescheduled to a later date.
Special event! The Estes Park Music Festival is pleased to
announce the return of the Colorado Children’s Chorale in May. Watch
for details as they progress. This concert will be held at the Estes
Park High School Auditorium.
