How
can you serve your country? Five musicians from across the United States have
found a unique way to serve and defend our nation. Rampart Winds, a woodwind
quintet from the United States Air Force Academy Band, Peterson AFB, CO is
comprised of five talented musicians that have come together to spread the good
news about the United States Air Force and the Air Force Academy, through music.
Their weapon of choice? Their instruments to include, flute, oboe, clarinet,
bassoon and horn, and they choose to spend as many hours as possible in their
personal battlefield, the practice room. They are full time musicians,
performing in communities such as ours, bringing highly polished music and
patriotism in support of community relations, educational outreach, recruiting
and troop morale.
Rampart Winds, a component of the AF Academy Band, is a professional ensemble
with members holding degrees from reputable universities and conservatories. A
performance by Rampart Winds is highly interactive and the elements of teamwork
and excellence exemplified in each show represents the professionalism that
makes our Air Force the best in the world. The group members are always looking
for ways to pay tribute to our US vets in each community. It is a personal
passion of Rampart Winds to celebrate each and every veteran and his or her
service to our nation. Rampart Winds also incorporates an educational outreach
